One of the biggest sneaker stars in the world dropped a new model, as Kyrie Irving finally introduced the Nike Kyrie 4 Confetti basketball shoe.
The colorway is inspired by the confetti that stuck to the bottom of Irving’s sneakers after the Cleveland Cavaliers were defeated by the Golden State Warriors in the 2017 NBA Finals.
As you can see this Nike Kyrie 4 Confetti has a unique Multi-Color theme. Featuring Purple and Light Blue on the left shoe while Pink and Volt is applied to the right shoe. Looking closer you can see that scribble writing lands by the collar and heel. Finishing the look is a translucent outsole.
The crowd is screaming while Kyrie approaches the defender. He stops, while is dangling searching for a weakness in the opponents’ defense, always moving his eyes and the basketball. Suddenly, with the quickness of the lightning, he finds a gap and attacks it without hesitation. One, two, three changes of directions, the TD Garden is holding its breath, then he scored and the Celtic crowd loses it. It’s on this kind of emotions that Nike designer Benjamin Nethongkome based his project on Irving’s latest signature shoe, the Nike Kyrie 4.
Jordan Brand will be debuting the Jordan Trunner LX High as early as tomorrow, September 20th. The first pair scheduled to release comes in a special edition NRG colorway.
The high-top rendition of the Jordan Trunner LX features a mix of Black, Grey and Blue tones with Gold trim on the toe area. Taking some inspiration from the ACRONYM Air Presto, the training also includes a zipper closure on the ankle.
Wisdom, focus and individuality bond them. Specifically, Bryant and Irving are inspired by Lee’s famous words, “Always be yourself. Express yourself. Have faith in yourself.’ Irving is intimately aware of this connection, and first expressed it when he was 17 while playing in the Nike Extravaganza in California. He channeled his inner mamba by wearing a special Kobe 5 that was inspired by the late martial artist, actor and philosopher, Lee. Now 25, Irving commemorates that moment and pays tribute to Byrant as mentor and friend with a special edition of the Kyrie 3: the Nike Kyrie 3 Bruce Lee.
The Kyrie 3 “Bruce Lee” features the following elements that modernize the original Kobe 5, which remains one of Irving’s all-time favorite shoes. The yellow and black contrasted upper pays tribute to Lee’s trademark colors. Four red slash marks connect to Lee. A snakeskin-inspired medial side represents the black mamba, fading to Samurai on the lateral side for Kyrie – a metaphorical torch passing. The new Kyrobe logo fuses Bryant and Irving’s Nike logos into one. Samurai textile print on the lateral side is similar to the pattern on the initial Nike Kyrie 3 colorway worn by Irving in a big 2016 Christmas day win.
